Enclosures are generous and attractive, visitors may get very close to the animals.
At the lynx forest, the monkey house, around the large lakes and at the Barbary macaque enclosure a broad zoological collection can bee seen.
Spacious aviaries house parrots, owl, wading birds and hill mynas. Storks, cranes and flamingos live in biotop exhibits.
African animals inhabit a savannah enclosure. Servals, red pandas and raccoons have diversified enclosures with brooks.
The new penguin and waders walk-through aviary is worth a visit on its own.
A new sober children’s farm opened in 2006, while a natural enclosure for coatis is being built.

* Please note: Most information given about the zoos is derived from our zoo database in German language by parsing keywords or auto-translation. While this works very well with most data, in some cases it might result in odd translation or missing additional details. You might want to have a look at the German version for control and additional information.
Our aim is to provide the most current and correct information and to keep this database always updated. Given the amount of information and the number of zoos, there will be changes daily. Therefore, all information provided is without warranty, especially regarding entrance fees and opening times. Please see also the zoo's websites.
We constantly work to improve this service. Please tell us about new, changed or incorrect information via this form. If you would like to help with collecting data or translations, please contact us, too.
